Dr. Erica Hawker

Dr. Hawker graduated from the University of Michigan in 1997 with a Bachelor of Science In Natural Resources. She then attended Michigan State University and received her doctorate in veterinary medicine in 2001. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, American Holistic Veterinary Medical Association and the Michigan Veterinary Medical Association.

Dr. Hawker joined Union Lake Veterinary Hospital upon graduation and has special interests in internal medicine, dermatology,alternative therapies and pain management. She particularly enjoys working with geriatric patients and improving their quality of life with pain management.

Dr. Hawker is certified in traditional Chinese herbal medicine for animals. She has found it to be helpful in improving the lives of cancer patients, along with many other diseases that may not respond to conventional treatments.

Outside of the hospital, she enjoys reading, watching movies, and spending time with her husband, son, and daughter. They share their home with two dogs and five cats.
